	"about us" Adam and Micheline Kemist, Owners of The Runners High Since 1995

Adam and Micheline Kemist are the co-owners of The Runners High Specialty Stores. Both are avid runners and triathletes. The Kemists are active in their community, supporting the schools, non-profit organizations and other groups with training, educational seminars, fundraising events and in-kind donations.

Adam “understands” feet. He is a *Board-certified Pedorthist with biomechanics expertise and knowledge of specialty walking and running footwear. Adam and TRH’s expertly trained staff treat each customer’s needs individually by offering the most current technical footwear knowledge and the highest quality products available. In addition, Adam makes orthotics prescribed by podiatrists and also creates custom footbeds for customers’ shoes.

Micheline incorporates her athletic and teaching experience into helping The Runners High provide excellent customer service to the Bay area. She also provides direction on what the stores can offer in fun, fit and fashion. She knows that runners, walkers and those who workout want dependable, durable and good-fitting shoes and attire. However, she makes sure the stores offer fun attire for weekend wear too! Micheline also oversees the community event planning and community relations aspects of The Runners High.

In addition to training and running their business, Adam and Micheline compete in local races in the Bay area. However, their favorite pastime is running early in the morning with their kids riding along in the jogger.

*A Board-Certified Pedorthist is an individual who has studied foot anatomy and pathology, biomechanics, shoe construction and modification, foot orthosis, fabrication and materials, footwear fitting, and patient/practice management, and who abides by BCP's Code of Ethics outlining responsibilities to the patient, the physician, the public and the profession. For most C.Peds, hands-on training in the field is also part of their learning process.
